Born in Gyumri, Armenia, in 1966, Alek Alekyan graduated from A. Merkurov Art School in 1976 and later from Yerevan Art College and the Yerevan Institute of Fine Arts. He has held solo exhibitions in cities like Yerevan, Moscow, Singapore, Boston, Paris, Beirut, and Toronto. A member of the Union of Artists of Armenia since 1998, Alek Alekyan currently lives and works in Yerevan.
Alek's art reflects the joy of life, blending Eastern and Western influences with modern sensibility. His work is displayed in galleries across several countries and private collections such as Russia, USA, Canada, France, Germany and Lebanon.
