To Modigliani
"A little bit of wandering, led to visiting the end, where a house was built, from the corners of a heartache."
Two figures that affected Nabaiel while preparing for his current exhibition;
The French sculptor, Camille Claudel, who was known for her figurative works in bronze and marble. Claudel exhibited signs of paranoia and was diagnosed as having schizophrenia and was admitted to the psychiatric hospital, where she died.
The Italian painter and sculptor, Amedeo Modigliani, who lived a short and challenging life, dying at the age of 35 after a tubercular meningitis diagnosis.
Both Claudel and Modigliani had little success while alive, but after their death, they achieved great popularity.
